Whether
an adult or scholar, a wrongly perceived conception of the sport is that people
who participate in such events show off, not highlighting the fact that the
unique techniques taught not only help you in everyday life activities and
strategies but also strengthen the ability to work in groups.

Safety has been the number one
priority in any race offered at National and Provincial levels. As we all know,
there is a risk in offering activities like river rafting, abseiling, etc.
therefore we will not allow any activity to take place without proper safety
measures in place.

We will not allow a member in
water without a life jacket, no bicycle helmet, no ride, no helmet, no climb or
abseil etc. We find it is the children who enjoy the extreme type of sports
that join adventure racing. There is the element of danger involved which
attracts some or racing top speed downhill on a mountain bike, climbing on
natural rock or cliff jumping into a river, which attracts many of the
children.

It has been found in the Primary
Schools that Adventure Racing has had a very good effect on the Remedial
children and those with Attention Deficit Disorder. It gives many children a
tremendous confidence booster and as any one race is never the same and
contains so many different elements, children who tend to be easily bored love
these sports.

It is only the cost factor of this sport that can be viewed as a problem otherwise these activities only promote a tremendous love for being outdoors, occupying young and mature minds alike, keeping body and mind fit, focus boundless energy, incorporate good, clean fun and often are the one thing that keeps youngsters out of trouble. It is normally found that those children who don’t do sport or have anything to do and no meaningful goal that wind up filling their time with unhealthy and often dangerous pastimes.

Adventure Racing definitely promotes teamwork whereby
adults and children must depend on their team-mates emotionally, physically and
mentally. It is found that those who do this sport generally end up in
leadership positions within their schools and careers.

Compass Sport Adventure sport is one of the most popular and fast-growing sport types within High Schools and adults alike. It consists of mountain-bike riding, navigation and mapwork, abseil, rock climbing, rowing, running and walking along with other obstacles. Because adventure sports in not very familiar to students and the interest shown is of great […]
